3.-PALEOLITHIC.

The Paleolithic Age started five million years ago.

People were nomads. They moved from one place to another to look for food.

They lived in caves close to the water so they could:

• get water to drink.

• fish.

• hunt the animals that came to drink.

• gather more fruit.

They make shelters with branches and animal skins.

At first, people ate raw food. Later, they discovered fire and could cook.

They used stone tools to make spearheads, axes, scrapers,

harpoons, knives and needles.

Key vocabulary:

Nomads: Nómadas.

Caves: Cuevas.

Shelters: Refugios.

Raw food: Comida cruda.

Discovered fire: descubrieron el fuego.

Stone tools: Herramientas de piedra.

Spearheads: puntas de lanza

Axes: hachas

Scrapers: raspadores.

Harpoons: arpones.

Knives: cuchillos.

Needles: agujas.

ACTIVITY BOOK: PAGE 37. EJERCICIO 3

Investigation task: Entregar.: 5 de mayo (jueves). Lo expondrán en clase.
