1. THE WEATHER.

There are 4 main elements of weather:

1.Temperature: How cold or hot it is. We use a thermometer. It measures in degrees Celsius. (ºC).

2. Wind :The movement of air. 2 instruments:

• an anemometer: Measures wind speed.
• a wind vane: Shows wind direction.

3. Humidity: It is the amount of water vapor in the air.

We use a hygrometer to measure humidity. It is expressed as a percentage. 

4. Precipitation: Water that falls from the sky. There are different types: rain, snow, hail and sleet. 

We use a rain gauge to measure precipitation. It is measured in millimeters (mm)
