6.- PREHISTORY ART AND MONUMENTS.

CAVE ART: Prehistoric artists decorated caves with paintings.

In the Paleolithic: Paintings represented realistic animals in  various colours.

In Altamira Cave, in Cantabria, we can see bisons, deers and horses.

In the Neolithic period: We can see simple paintings of people in only one colour.

MEGALITHIC MONUMENTS.

In the Metal Ages: People built monuments using large stones called megaliths. There are 3 types of megalithic monuments:
