THE MATTER.

 Matter is everything that occupies space and has mass.

Mass is the amount of matter in an object. We measure mass using weighting scales in grams, (g) and kilograms (Kg).

Volume is the amount of space an object occupies. We measure volume using a measuring jug in millilitres (ml) and litres (l)

1. PERIODS OF HISTORY.

We divide up history in 5 main periods:

1. Prehistory. It begins with the appearance of the first humans. It has 3 periods: Palaeolithic, Neolithic and The Metal Ages.

2. Ancient history. It begins with the invention of writing.

3. The Middle Ages. It begins with the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

4. The Early Modern Age. It begins in Spain with   Columbus' arrival to America in 1492.

5. The modern Age. It begins with the French Revolution.
